Officers with the Groves Police Department investigating a report of a Groves resident firing a pellet gun toward houses in a local neighborhood resulted in the arrest of one man on drug charges related to methamphetamine allegedly discovered at his home.

According to the department's Facebook page, officers arrested 46-year-old James Klock after executing a warrant at his residence in the 3500 block of Canal. Information from police indicated the department received numerous complaints regarding someone discharging a pellet rifle in the area of Canal and 34th Streets in Groves toward 34th Street homes. Investigation led Groves PD to Klock's residence on 34th street where officers executed a search warrant April 25 in reference to the ongoing complaints. During their search of the residence, detectives reportedly located approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine and arrested Klock for possession of a controlled substance. At the time of the release, Klock was being held at the Jefferson County Jail with a $30,000 bond.
