Police arrest two for warrants in Vidor

Street Crimes officers in Vidor investigating local burglaries arrested two people, one for a single warrant and the other for numerous warrants for a variety of charges, reports the Vidor Police Department (VPD).

According to a news release from VPD, officers on burglary detail were conducting surveillance at about 8:25 p.m. on Nov. 16 when they initiated a traffic stop on a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse in the 700 block of Main Street. The male occupant was identified as Cody Allen Johnson, 29, and the female occupant was identified as Lacey Sheree Spoonmore, 24. Both reportedly had outstanding warrants for various offenses.

VPD reports Johnson was wanted out of Orange County for possession of a miscellaneous substance. 

Spoonmore reportedly had warrants from Vidor for operating a vehicle with no registration, no driver's license and failure to appear, warrants out of Orange County for possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest and a Hardin County warrant for revocation of probation related to charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.

Both Johnson and Spoonmore were taken to the Orange County Jail.
