Police investigate armed robbery

The Beaumont Police Department is investigating the overnight robbery of a convenience store in the north end of town.

On June 26, at 10:04 p.m., patrol division officers responded to the Fastlane located at 2810 Delaware when the clerk reported that an armed man had just robbed the store.

The robber walked into the store with a handgun. He jumped the counter, pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk remained calm and complied with the robber’s demand. The robber then fled with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured during this robbery.

The clerk described the robber as a black male, about 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a black hooded pullover jacket, dark-colored jeans and what appeared to be a black “do-rag” tied across his face.

Anyone with more information on the robbery should contact Sgt. Rob Flores, Jr. at (409) 782-6738.
