Police investigate Dairy Queen robbery

Police in Beaumont are investigating the aggravated robbery of a Dairy Queen restaurant in the 1000 block of Washington Blvd. just after 9 p.m. May 31, reports Beaumont Police Department Officer Tony Harding.

According to Harding, officers responded to the business and spoke with an employee who was present during the robbery. The employee described the robbers as two black males appearing to be in their mid-20’s. The employee reported that one robber wore a dark, navy blue rag over his head and face, and was armed with a small, black semi-automatic handgun. The employee described the second robber as having a dark bandanna covering his face and a Dallas Cowboys ball cap on his head. The employee told officers that both men entered the restaurant and demanded money from the registers. Staff retrieved an undetermined amount of money from the registers and handed it over to the robbers. The suspects then fled the restaurant on foot.
