Police investigate major accident in Orange

Police are investigating a major accident in Orange that involved two trucks and a tractor trailer and sent two people to the hospital with injuries. 

Capt. Charlie Stephenson reports that Orange Police Department officers responded to a three-vehicle accident in the 8600 block of North Highway 87 at 11:53 a.m. March 19. The accident is still under investigation and police have not released details of the wreck.

A 25-year-old Jasper woman, the driver of one of the trucks, was transported by Air Rescue to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The driver of the tractor/trailer, a 56-year-old male resident of Louisiana, was transported by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The third driver, a 38-year-old resident of Orange, declined treatment at the scene. The victims' conditions were unknown at the time of the news release, Stephenson reported.
