Police investigate shooting in Orange

Police in Orange are investigating a shooting that injured a local man Nov. 20, Orange Police Department Capt. Charlie Stephenson reports.

According to Stephenson, officers of the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Bridal Wreath at 8:13 p.m. in reference to a gunshot victim. When they arrived at 8:14 p.m., officers found Dwayne Zetar, 28, of Orange, suffering from a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. He was transported by Acadian Ambulance to a landing zone at the old Baptist Hospital-Orange and then flown by the Air Rescue helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Zetar’s injury was not life-threatening.

The Pinehurst Police Department and the Orange Fire Department assisted at the scene of the crime. The investigation is ongoing by the OPD Detective Division.
