Police investigate suspicious death in Beaumont

According to a press release from Sgt. Rob Flores of the Beaumont Police Department, police are in the early stages of an investigation into the death of 53-year-old Brian W. Dabbs of Beaumont.

Thursday, Nov. 1, at 7:23 p.m., police responded to a call from a resident of a house in the 2100 block of Angelina Street reporting the death of Dabbs, who also lived in the house. Detectives reported an injury to Dabbs and physical evidence at the scene caused them to call the death “suspicious.” Detectives are questioning witnesses and awaiting the preliminary results of an autopsy to be performed this afternoon.

“Once we accomplish those tasks, we will be in a better position to determine if foul play was involved,” Flores stated in the release.
