Police search for Novrozsky's robber

Police are searching for a man who held employees at gunpoint as he robbed the Novrozsky's restaurant in Orange on Sept. 9, reports Orange Police Department (OPD) Capt. Charlie Stephenson.

According to Stephenson, OPD officers responded to 501 16th St. after receiving a call from Novrozsky's reporting the aggravated robbery at 9:43 p.m. When they arrived about a minute later, witnesses told officers that a black male wearing a mask had entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The subject obtained an undetermined amount of currency and fled the scene on foot, Stephenson reports.

Officers scoured the area, but their search proved fruitless.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the OPD Detective Division at (409) 883-1095.
