Port Arthur drivers should expect road delays Monday morning, May 12
Drivers heading to work in Port Arthur should expect road delays Monday morning, May 12 as the Port Arthur Police and Texas Department of Transportation will closing off several southbound lanes on Highway 69 to reconstruct an accident that occurred on May 2.
Several southbound lanes of Highway 69 will be closed starting at 9 a.m. and will be remain so for 2 to 3 hours. There will only be one lane open on Highway 69 South, so motorists heading into Port Arthur should expect delays.
PAPD suggested motorists take alternate routes into the city using 9th Avenue or Twin City Highway and asked drivers to use caution if they are traveling into the city Monday morning.
