Seven men were arrested May 17 during a warrant search in Jefferson County that reportedly turned up marijuana, alprazolam/Xanax and firearms, reports Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Marcus McLellan.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force and Jefferson County SWAT executed a narcotics search warrant at 3135 Park St. in Beaumont at about 11 a.m. Beaumont police detectives and Beaumont K-9 officers also assisted. The SWAT team secured the business and a large group of people who were outside and inside the business. Marijuana, Xanax and a loaded pistol were collected by the Jefferson County narcotics detectives, according to McLellan.

Narcotics detectives began investigating multiple complaints received by the Task Force pertaining to drug transactions occurring on the premises of the business known as The Wash, reported McLellan. Over time, police said, they were able to collect evidence to confirm that hydroponic marijuana and other controlled substances were being sold there.

The seven men arrested were owner Troy Anthony Mouton, 38, for possession of marijuana, Steven Mouton, 38, for possession of a controlled substance PG3 (Xanax), Vonneil M. Louis, 18, for possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a firearm, Gregory L. Coleman, 28, for possession of marijuana, Cameran Brazil, 29 for an outstanding warrant, Roger Mouton, 42, for a Jefferson County warrant for DWI, and Robert L. Collins, 29, for an outstanding warrant. Steven Mouton was also reportedly featured on Crime Stoppers and found to have a parole warrant, McLellan stated in a news release.

The seven men were transported to the Jefferson County Jail where they were booked in on the listed charges.
