Sheriff searching for missing juvenile in Jasper County

Deputies in Jasper County are searching for a missing juvenile who reportedly ran away from home without her medication over the weekend.

According to a news release from Sheriff Mitchel Newman, deputies received a call in reference to a runaway juvenile from a home on FM 1013, east of Kirbyville at about 4 p.m. on April 19. Sgt. Sherer advised it was reported that 15-year-old Desarae Perry left her residence and had not returned. The teen is currently reportedly on medication, which family told deputies she left home without.  Desarae is 15-year-old white female, about 5-foot-7 and approximately 198 lbs., with grey eyes and brown hair, last seen wearing blue jeans and a light-colored shirt while walking towards Kirbyville on FM 1013 East. The family and the Jasper County Sheriff are asking for anyone who knows her whereabouts or has seen her to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (409) 384-5417.
