Sheriff's office investigates teen stabbing

Deputies of the Orange County Sheriff's Office are still investigating and have yet to make an arrest related to the stabbing of a 17-year-old in Vidor on July 18, reports Capt. Thomas Ray. 

According to Ray, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Crosby Road in Vidor at about 12:20 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, they learned that a fight had occurred between a 44-year-old white male and a 17-year-old white male. During the disturbance, the 44-year-old man reportedly stabbed the 17-year-old and then fled the scene on foot. The 17-year-old white male was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the altercation and has since been released.

There had been no arrests made at the time of the news release, and the investigation remains ongoing.
