Spindletop Center hosts Car and Bike show honoring veterans on Nov. 19

Spindletop Center’s Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) of Southeast Texas will celebrate local veterans on Saturday, November 19, 2016 with a Car and Bike Show from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Center’s South Campus, 2750 S. 8th St.

“This car and bike show is a wonderful opportunity for the public to become involved and get to know our veterans more closely,” said Tim Winberg, MVPN Peer Coordinator. “It’s a chance to spend time with our veterans and their families so that we can show them how much we appreciate what they’ve done for our country.”

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with registration and a meet and greet, followed by lunch served from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and concluding with a trophy and closing ceremony from 1 – 2 p.m.

Categories for the Car and Bike Show competition include: Best American Car, Best Imported Car, Best Antique/Classic/Custom Car, Best American Bike, Best Imported Bike and Best Antique/Classic/Custom Bike.

The Car and Bike Show is free and open to the public. A raffle will be held for numerous prizes, including two tickets to the Johnson Space Center. All raffle ticket proceeds will benefit MVPN programs and services. For more information about the Car and Bike Show, call 409-839-1309.
