Street closures in Beaumont due to railroad repair

The City of Beaumont sent out a press release on Sept 4, notifying commuters of street closures.

 The following city streets will be closed to through-traffic at their railroad intersections for repairs to the crossings.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing on Keith Road will be closed to through-traffic in order to finish repairing the grade crossing. Motorists may detour the closure via College Street, Major Drive, and Phelan Boulevard.

On Friday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing on Todd Street will be closed to through-traffic in order to finish repairing the grade crossing. Motorists may detour the closure via College Street, Doty Street, Phelan Boulevard., and Keith Road.

Schedules for construction, maintenance, and repairs are subject to change, including extensions and postponement, due to weather or other factors. Motorists are asked to be aware of all detour signs and advance warnings, and to proceed with caution.
