Suspect named in Orange shooting

City of Orange police have released the name of man investigators believe to be the shooter in an incident that occurred over the holiday on Monday, Sept. 5.

According to Orange Police Department Capt. Cliff Hargrave, officers were dispatched to 1411 Simmons Dr., the Old School Lounge, shortly before 2 a.m. Sept. 5 in reference to a shooting.  

“Upon officers’ arrival in the area at 1:56 a.m.,” Hargrave reported, “two male victims were located lying outside the business. Both victims had been shot.”

Both victims were treated at the scene by Orange Fire Department personnel and were transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The next day (Sept. 6), officers announced they had a suspect in the shooting – 35-year-old Alfred Knight Anderson of New Orleans, LA. Two warrants have been issued for the suspect for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
