Suspect wanted for early morning gas station robbery

On May 18 at about 2:30 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 1700 block of E. Cardinal Drive in reference to a report of a robbery in progress at the Exxpress Mart #28, Sgt. Cody Guedry said in a release.

Prior to officers' arrival, the armed suspect had fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The investigation revealed that a medium build black male in his 20s wearing a red shirt, red hat, red bandana covering his face and black pants entered the store armed with a pistol. The suspect was also wearing light colored gloves.

Once the suspect entered the store, he ordered the clerk to give him money. The clerk complied, and the suspect left last seen leaving the store on foot.
