Synthetic marijuana discovered in prison transport van

Officers with the Orange County Correctional Facility found a package containing synthetic marijuana hidden inside a prison transport van on Tuesday, April 9. According to a report from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was parked at 205 South Border St. in Orange when correctional officers found the "green leafy substance."

OCSO Sergeant Chad Hogan said they are not sure how the package got into the van, and because several inmates were in the transport and officer were unable to determine ownership of the synthetic marijuana, no charges were filed. OCSO is currently investigating the incident.
