Teen boy dies in rollover on I-10

On May 28 at about 12:30 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on I-10 near FM 365 in Jefferson County, Sgt. Stephanie Davis said in a release.

Initial reports indicate that a 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on I-10, near FM 365. It appears that the left rear tire blew out causing the vehicle to rollover several times before coming to rest.

The driver, 61-year-old Miguel Reyes of Houston, was transported by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.

The three rear passengers were all transported by ambulance to Baptist hospital with unknown injuries.

The front passenger, a teenage boy, was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

All information is preliminary as troopers work to determine the exact factors that contributed to this crash and to positively identify the injured victims.
