Three arrested after tip leads to narcotics bust in Orange County
Three people were arrested in Orange County Tuesday, March 12 after a Crime Stoppers tip led sheriff’s deputies to discover approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine worth an estimated value of $5,500 at an apartment in Mauriceville.
According to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the reporting party informed Crime Stoppers personnel that illegal narcotics were being sold from an apartment at 8337 Hwy. 12. OCSO narcotics investigators went to the residence and spoke to the tenants of the apartment. The tenants gave consent for deputies to search the premises. During their search, investigators reportedly discovered approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine and an abundance of drug paraphernalia.
David Edward Cole, 41, and Darin Lee West, 26, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Alissa Leighann Cook, 21, was arrested at the scene for an outstanding Orange County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. All three suspects were transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility. Cook’s bond was set at $5,000. At the time of the release, bond was not yet set for Cole or West.
