Three arrested in Winnie drug bust

Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne reports that on June 20, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Covert Investigations Unit and Deputies, assisted by DPS, executed a search warrant in the 500 block of McDermott Street in Winnie, Texas.

Three firearms, one of which was stolen, methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin and 150 pills of assorted prescription narcotics were seized at the residence.

William Perry Wells IV, 43, of Winnie, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and felon in possession of a firearm with bonds totaling $127,000 and an outstanding warrant from the State of Ohio with a hold for no bond.

Ashley Leanne LaRue, 36, of Winnie, was arrested for possession of drugs and theft of a firearm with bonds totallng $97,000, and failure to identify with no bond.

Micheal Stephen McCullough, 25, of Winnie, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with no bond.
