Troopers collect, deliver donations to charitable organization

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers and support staff in the Beaumont District Office donated several items to Shepherd’s Inn and the Calvary House, a Port Arthur based non-profit organization providing family members a place to stay while visiting their loved ones incarcerated at the nearby federal prison.

From Nov. 1 through Nov. 21, DPS employees donated items ranging from cleaning supplies to children’s games and toys in support of the eighth annual Twenty One Days of Giving, an opportunity for department members to give back to the community they serve. Employees from seven counties in the Beaumont District participate in this yearly campaign, which supports a variety of local charitable organizations.

Troopers delivered approximately 80 items on Nov. 28 to Shepherd’s Inn and the Calvary House.
