Two weekend robberies involve ATM transactions
Officer Doug Kibodeaux of the Beaumont Police Department released details and suspect descriptions in two weekend robberies.
Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 5:48 a.m., officers from the Beaumont Police Department responded to an aggravated robbery in the 4200 block of Fonville. The female victim reported that a male subject had forced her into her van and forced her to drive to another location where another subject was waiting. The two suspects then forced the victim to make several transactions at her bank’s ATM and withdraw all her money. During the incident, the subjects made threats and used what was possibly a box cutter to deliver minor cuts to force the victim to submit to their demands. After all the money was out of the account, the subjects got out of the van in an unknown location in the Southpark area, and they were last seen running on foot.
The suspects were described as a dark complected black male about 6 feet tall wearing a red hoodie, dark pants and black athletic shoes; and a second black male, also with dark complexion, about 5-feet-10 to 6 feet tall wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and black athletic shoes. The second man had facial hair on his chin and a scar on the left side of his face from his eye to his cheek area. Both wore black knit gloves.
