UPDATE: Aggravated robbery fugitive found in Louisiana


UPDATE: The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call yesterday (April 12) evening from an anonymous tipster that Shane Leger was in the Deridder, La., area. Deputies with JCSO's warrant division proceeded to Deridder and teamed up with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office. Working with information from the tipster, Leger was seen leaving a location in a vehicle and was taken into custody without incident following a traffic stop by BPSO.

PREVIOUS REPORTING: The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division is asking for the media and general public’s assistance in locating a wanted fugitive. This individual is wanted on an Aggravated Robbery Warrant. He should be considered dangerous and no attempt should be made by the public to detain or confront this individual.


The Aggravated Robbery warrant is on the following:

Shane Leger White Male 34 years of age 6’1 250#

Multiple tattoos, the most distinguishing are on his right and left inner forearm

Right Forearm: “LEGER” Left Forearm: “PRIDE”
