Vidor home burglary leads to one arrest, police investigate

A home in the 500 block of Pine Burr Street in Vidor was being burglarized Wednesday, Nov. 9, according to the Vidor Police Department, when the owner arrived home from work.

The homeowner described the suspects as a white male, a black male, and one black female. The suspects fled on foot, and the 17-year-old black female was caught by a bystander who saw the homeowner chasing the suspects down the road.

When Vidor Police officers responded to the call reporting a burglary in progress around 5:14 p.m., they arrested the suspect, Kamryn Darnell Oliver.

Vidor Police officers also received information of the whereabouts of the other two suspects and investigated a residence on Kent Street, discovering several items reported stolen from previous burglaries in the area.


The Vidor Police Department is currently investigating the burglaries that “have plagued the area around Kent Street,” according to a statement. Anyone with information regarding these burglaries is asked to  call the Vidor Police Department at (409) 769-4561.
