Vidor hosts National Night Out

The Vidor Indepedent School District and the Vidor Police Department are bringing "National Night Out" to Vidor on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pirate Stadium on the High School grounds, located at 500 Orange St.

Attendees can enjoy free hot dogs and drinks and games on the field with police officers. The Vidor Rotary "Green Bus" will be giving away free books to kids of all ages, and emergency vehicles galore will be at the stadium for patrons to explore.

In addition, vendors from around the area will talk about what they offer local families, including medical and dental care, food, animal care and much more. The Vidor Chamber of Commerce will be on-hand as will Buckner's and the YMCA. Law enforcement agencies from the county will be at the event with all sorts of great information.

There will also be performances by Vidor ISD students and "lots of cool stuff for the kids."
