Vidor Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Mid South Bank at 1384 North Main St. in Vidor at 4:26 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored jacket and a dark-colored Texas Tech ball cap.

“He went straight to the teller counter and handed the teller a note demanding money,” said Vidor Police Department Chief of Police Dave Shows. “That demand was met, and he left the building and disappeared on foot.”

Shows said the suspect did not pull a weapon nor threatened to use a weapon, and no injures were reported.

Vidor Police released a video and still pictures from the bank’s security camera to the press.

“We want to get this guy’s picture out and see if somebody can give us his name,” Shows said.
