Wanted fugitive, alleged child molester found
UPDATE: At approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, Crime Stoppers received a tip in reference to the location of wanted fugitive Joshua Cole Williams. Acting on the tip, the Beaumont Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service located the fugitive at a residence on Orange Street in Port Arthur. Williams was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and held on a bond of $150,000.
After the community was alerted to this fugitive, Crime Stoppers received a record number calls as to his location, a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
Williams is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. During the assault of the 3-year-old child of a family friend, according to the JCSO press release, Williams transmitted two sexually transmitted diseases to the child.
