Wanted fugitive still on the run
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a dangerous fugitive, 23-year-old Carlos Efren Rodriguez. According to information from JCSO, the known gang member is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him.
According to a news release from sheriff’s office, Rodriguez is accused of shooting his girlfriend's brother and her uncle and assaulting a third person in the 2800 block of 10th Street in Port Arthur on March 29.
Rodriguez is described as 6 foot in height, weighing 200 pounds. He is believed to be in the company of his 20-year-old girlfriend, Karina Pastrana and has been reported to be back and forth from Houston, Cleveland and Port Arthur.
