West Orange Police search for bank robber

West Orange Police are still searching for the man who robbed the Firestone Community Federal Credit Union at 2101 Macarthur Drive in West Orange on Sept. 6. Witnesses describe the gunman as about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. During the robbery, the suspect wore dark coveralls, a maroon ski mask covering his face and head, sunglasses and gloves on his hands. Tellers gave the thief an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the scene. He was last seen running west behind Aaron’s Rent-to-Own on Macarthur Drive.

Firestone Credit Union is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment for the person or persons responsible for the robbery.
