Woman arrested after Vidor traffic stop

Rhonda Kay Guidry, 50, of Vidor was arrested, Wednesday, March 14, after being stopped in Vidor. Investigators observed a red Nissan two door traveling south on Main Street.  According to a press release by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, investigators observed the subject vehicle change lanes without signaling and run the stop light at South Main and Old Highway 90. 

Investigators activated the emergency lights to signal the vehicle to stop.  The vehicle continued to travel west on Old Highway 90. Investigators activated the siren and the subject vehicle pulled into a parking lot at Moreland and Old highway 90.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and Investigators found approximately 11 grams of a clear crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.  Also in the vehicle, investigators say was the controlled substance clonazepam.

Guidry was arrested and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility where she was released to the custody of the Corrections Officers.

Guidry was arraigned by Precinct 1 Judge Stagner.  A bond of $25,000 was set for the possession of a controlled substance and $2,500 for each possession of a controlled substance for a total bond of $30,000.  Guidry has since posted bond and was released from the Orange County Correctional facility.
