Woman ejected in fatal Jasper County crash

A woman is dead after an accident on FM 1747 west of Jasper ejected her from her vehicle July 5.

Around 3:30 Friday morning, Jasper resident Kimberly Dinsdale, 23, was traveling southbound in her 2009 Pontiac at an unsafe speed and lost control of her vehicle, according to a press release by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left, striking an embankment, which caused the vehicle to go airborne. Dinsdale, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.  At approximately 3:39 a.m., Jasper County troopers were dispatched to the one-vehicle crash.  Dinsdale was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Ronny Billingsley.

As part of this crash investigation, troopers collected a blood specimen that will be submitted to a DPS lab for analysis.  Results of the blood analysis usually return within 4-6 months, the press release states. This is an ongoing investigation and further information will be released as it becomes available.
