A naked man walking reportedly around outside of an Orange motel was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana early Monday morning, April 7 at shortly after 1 a.m.

A 59-year-old Beaumont man is dead and a reportedly mentally ill resident of a rental home where the victim was working, a 34-year-old Beaumont man, is in custody for stabbing the man to death on Monday, April 7.

Two of three men wanted in relation to a murder investigation in Jefferson County are in custody as of April 7, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies report, and the search is on for the third man, 27-year-old Cody Jamar Lewis of Beaumont, who should be considered armed and dangerous. The murder investigation was initiated as the result of a body discovered on South China Road in China on Saturday morning, April 5.

One man is in custody after an Orange County car chase that started just after midnight Monday, April 7, and ended when the suspect rammed a deputy's cruiser with the U-Haul truck he was driving, the Orange County Sheriff's Officer reports.

The Ridgewood Retirement Community caught ablaze Saturday evening about 5:30 p.m.

Flames did not spread through the entire facility, but could be seen shooting from the 9th Street side of the complex about 6:30 p.m. 

BFD spokesman Brad Pennison said there were vagrants in the area when the fire started and several eyewitnesses said homeless people had settled in the largely abandoned facility.

FBI agents raided the homes of Naomi Lawrence-Lee and William "Bo" Kelley early this morning. 

Agents would not comment as they exited Lawrence-Lee's home, but loaded numerous boxes into a sedan before leaving. 

Lee is BISD's assistant director of finance/purchasing.

Agents were inside Lawrence-Lee's home from about 8:30 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m.
