Police say a Beaumont couple discovered dead inside their home in the 300 block of Church Street on Monday, Jan. 20, at approximately 11:30 a.m. died in murder/suicide. Mark Pelligrin, 57, shot Kathy Pelligrin, 55, and then shot himself, the Beaumont Police Department said in a press release.

Police say the evidence is conclusive.

A teen missing from Lumberton since Jan. 6 was found Saturday, Jan. 18, according to police and confirmed by social media sources. No word yet on where 14-year-old John Rao was while family, friends and police searched for him, but he is reportedly currently safe with family.

A Nederland man is in jail for allegedly dousing another man with gasoline and setting him on fire.

The search is still ongoing for a teen who went missing sometime overnight on Jan. 6 from his grandparents' home in Lumberton.

Police are searching for 14-year-old John Rao. Authorities initially believed Rao was traveling toward Arizona where he is said to have family; however, Rao's family in Arizona said they have not seen or heard from him.
