A Newton County motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Vidor man on July 31, reports the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to a news release from Trooper Stephanie Davis, at approximately 8:00 p.m. that evening, 37-year-old Henry McIntyre of Vidor was traveling westbound on FM 1004 on his 1996 Honda motorcycle. As the vehicle went into a curve on FM 1004 near CR 3089 in Newton County, McIntyre reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected.
