21-year-old Kirk Jones of Port Arthur pled guilty to two counts of first degree aggravated robbery in the 252nd District Court, Jefferson County District Attorney Bob Wortham announced today. At the time of the offense, Jones was on probation for a previous aggravated robbery.

The Orange Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 17-year-old David Anthony Riggs, Jr. for the armed robbery of the Get-N-Go station at 2419 16th Street in Orange that occurred Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

56-year-old Steven Zachary was killed the night of Friday, December 4, 2015, when he was walking in the 4800 block of Concord Road in Beaumont and was struck by a vehicle who fled the scene.

According to Officer Tony Harding, there is a person of interest Beaumont detectives have been speaking with, but there have been no arrests made as of yet.

Pinehurst Police Chief Fred R. Hanauer III proudly receives a ceremonial check in the amount of $3000 from Georgette Pillitere, a grant administrator at the Texas Department of Transportation, for the department’s participation in the Click-it-or-Ticket and Impaired Driver campaigns earlier this year.
