Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) officers and Texas Department of Transportation officials are shutting down eastbound Highway 73 in the 4900 block for two to three hours starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, in order for officers with PAPD and the Groves City Marshal's office to reconstruct an accident that happened several days ago, PAPD reports.

Community Bank of Texas presented Creative Corrections Education Foundation (CCEF) with a check for $2,500 on Wednesday, June 1, at the nonprofit’s Calder office in Beaumont.
