Aggravated robbery suspect Brendan McGee, 20, of Beaumont was arrested Saturday, March 31. Sgt. Cody Guedry reported that Mcgee was wanted for armed robberies of victims in a facebook scam for a vehicle. McGee was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked in for two aggravated robbery warrants.

A woman was hospitalized Wednesday, March 29, after Beaumont Police responded to a report of a female victim bleeding in the street. The woman had stab wounds to her head and chest area. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Beaumont Animal Care found homes for 154 pets in the month of February. According to a press release, of that number, 32 were reclaimed by their owner, 23 were adopted into new homes, 24 were released into the wild or to the Sheriff and 75 were transferred to rescue groups.

The Jefferson County Commissioners Court approved about $148,000 in repairs for Ford Park Pavilion on Monday, March 26.

The repairs, needed due to the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey, consist of various construction and demolition projects including removing damaged ceiling tiles, reinstalling all existing plumbing fixtures and removing all moisture damaged doors, just to name a few.

At approximately 4:30 p.m.  March 24, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a one-vehicle crash on Turner Road in Orange County.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 2009 Honda motorcycle was traveling southbound on Turner Road.  For an unknown reason, the driver lost control and fell off the motorcycle.
