The Beaumont Police Department Traffic Unit has released the name of the man killed in the June 29 motorcycle accident. Joel Barrera Esparza, 29, of Port Arthur was killed Saturday when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving.

A motorcycle accident has claimed the life of one man, police in Beaumont report.

According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department, the BPD Traffic Unit is investigating a motorcycle fatality accident that occurred Saturday, June 28, at approximately 6:05 p.m. in the 100 block of East Cardinal (Hwy 69). A single Motor Cycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
