Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced today that the Child Exploitation Unit (CEU) of his office arrested Jason Matthew Pertolanitz, 40, of Cedar Creek, on one count of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony. Pertolanitz could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

A 35-year-old Medford, Oregon woman has been sentenced to federal prison for child exploitation violations in the Eastern District of Texas, Acting U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston announced April 18.

Police arrested a suspect for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance after discovering pot and what officers believe to be 20 ecstasy pills during a traffic stop on April 14, reports the Orange Police Department. 

According to a report from Officer Justin Kirkpatrick, he stopped a red Ford Mustang for traveling on 16th Street with the taillights not illuminated. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Kirkpatrick noticed the passenger seemed to be holding the glove box shut with his hand.
