Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Feb. 27 that the Child Exploitation Unit (CEU) of his office arrested Michael Scott Chastain, 54, of Cranfills Gap. Chastain is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony, and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

This morning around 9:50 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies stopped a traffic violator on I-10 west bound near Major Drive, Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release. The vehicle was a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, driven by a Hispanic male from the valley.
