In a pretrial hearing on the morning of Friday, October 2, 2015, Clinton Johnson pleaded guilty to a 3rd degree felony of causing serious bodily injury to an animal with a deadly weapon. Johnson made headlines recently for stabbing a dog twice with a blade that was attached to a portion of PVC pipe. He slashed the dog's neck and penetrated the dog's right hip down through the leg.

This Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 9 p.m., the Discovery Channel will be airing the program “On The Case” with Paula Zahn, which focuses on victims in murder cases.

One of the cases featured will be the murder of Beaumont police officer Paul Hulsey on March 22, 1988. This case led officers to locate and capture the serial killer responsible for Hulsey’s murder. He was tried, convicted and sentenced to death. His execution was carried out in Texas on December 9, 1997.

During another parked car investigation, Vidor police officers arrested an allegedly intoxicated Vidor teen who fell asleep in her vehicle while parked next to the pumps at a local gas station on Sept. 27, reports the Vidor Police Department. The incident marked the second parked car investigation in the span of week that led to arrest.
