Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 7 a.m.,  a red 1998 Ford F-150 pickup operated by a by a 23-year-old Beaumont man was traveling westbound in the 3900 block of E. Lucas.

Police in Port Arthur are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday, Oct. 13, at approximately 11 p.m. at the Louis Manor Apartment located at 1300 Joe Louis Ave.

According to a PAPD news release, officers responded to a call regarding a shooting victim and discovered that a 21-year-old Port Arthur man had been shot in relation to an altercation at the apartments. Police report the suspect fled the scene after the shooting but was later apprehended in Orange County.
