Orange resident arrested after high-speed chase across state lines

Officers arrested an Orange resident for evading police and for driving while intoxicated after the man led police on a high-speed chase across state lines, the Orange Police Department reports.

Fatal wreck in Orange

TRO granted

Judge Donald Floyd granted a temporary restraining order dated June 19 in the matter of Ron Reynolds v. BISD. A hearing in the matter will be held on June 30 at 9 a.m.

In the interim, BISD is precluded from enforcing a RIF naming former spokesperson/ current business services partner Reynolds.

Betty Reynard named president of Lamar State College-Port Arthur

The Board of Regents of the Texas State University System, during a special called meeting Wed, Jun 18, confirmed the appointment of Dr. Betty Reynard as president of Lamar State College-Port Arthur. Reynard, who currently serves as vice president for academic affairs at Lamar Institute of Technology, was named sole finalist last month.
