Lamar State College-Port Arthur’s first-ever volleyball team got together for a team photo at the end of July as they prepare for the early-August start to the 2014 season. The Seahawks open their inaugural season with a tournament at Tyler Junior College on Aug. 22-23 with their first home game set for Thursday, Aug. 28 vs. Cisco College. First serve is at 5:30 p.m. at the Carl Parker Center, 1800 Lakeshore Drive, Port Arthur.
