New Black History discussion group at Elmo Willard Library

Lucy Dennis

Beginning Saturday, April 1, the Elmo Willard Branch Library will be hosting a bi-monthly discussion group focusing on black history, City of Beaumont spokesperson Rosanna Mojica announced.

The discussion leader, author Lucy Dennis, believes that black history should be celebrated more than one month a year and is enthusiastic about talking to participants about Black History throughout the year. All are welcome. The topic has not been decided yet, but it should be a lively discussion, the release said.

The discussion group's first meeting will be April 1 at 1 p.m. at the Elmo Willard Branch Library. There are plans for holding the next discussion in June.
