Perkins arrested for public intoxication & disorderly conduct
A weekend of odd behavior continued for former Ozen High School graduate and current NBA star Kendrick Perkins.
After canceling his appearance at his own celebrity basketball game on Friday at Ozen High School, the 26-year-old starter for the Oklahoma City Thunder was arrested early Saturday morning for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Perkins bonded out of the Jefferson County Jail for $150 on each charge.
The event happened at 2 a.m. at The Ticket sports bar on College Street.
Perkins was back in Beaumont this week for his annual youth summer basketball camp. On Thursday evening, Perkins was taken to Medical Center of Southeast Texas after what his publicist stated was a case of dehydration as Perkins attended a house party in Port Arthur.
The publicist also stated that Perkins was treated then released and was under doctors’ orders for bed rest and would not attend his celebrity basketball game on Friday.
