Hurricane Pro Wrestling is going all out to crown their first ever women’s champion at their next show at the Beaumont Civic Center on Saturday, June 16. A star-studded lineup already invited to compete for the coveted new title in a Gauntlet match just got bigger as former Impact Wrestling women’s champion Chelsea Green intends to add the HPW Women’s Championship belt to her already impressive trophy case.

Also scheduled for the show are The Pump Patrol, HPW heavyweight champion Terrell Tempo, Jordan Jensen, Ashton Jacobs, Estrella Galactica and many more.

Topgolf has taken over the game of golf and has been the premier entertainment and event venue throughout North America and Europe. And now thanks to Beaumont native Austin Williams, Southeast Texas residents and visitors seeking entertainment will soon be able to access two new interactive golf experiences at 5 Under Golf Center, formerly Games People Play Golf Center.

Coming soon to 5945 College St. in Beaumont will be the Toptracer Range by Topgolf and Topgolf Swing Suite.

Season tickets for the upcoming 2018 season are on sale through the LU Ticket Office. Renewals have been sent out, and previous year season-ticket holders have until Friday, May 4, to renew their seats.

AUSTIN – For the first time in the 32 year history of the Toyota ShareLunker program, Kurth Reservoir in Lufkin has produced a largemouth bass entry exceeding 13 pounds. Angler Pablo Torres Jr. of Lufkin caught the 13.34 pound, 26-inch Legacy Class lunker in less than 8 feet of water while fishing with his son-in-law at the lake March 25.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Sixty-four outstanding high school anglers from across the country have been named to the 2018 Bassmaster High School All-State Fishing Team presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.

The students were selected for the honor based on their success in bass tournament competition, academic achievement and leadership in conservation and community service.

In Texas Thomas Martin of Jewett and Cody Shry of Pinehurst were selected, with Derek Pietsch of Montgomery and Gabriel Talley of Willis named honorable mention.

For the first time in more than 28 years, Twin Buttes Reservoir near San Angelo has produced a Toyota ShareLunker largemouth bass exceeding 13 pounds. Angler Austin Terry of San Angelo caught the 13.40 pound, 25 and 3/4 inch Legacy Class lunker on a Santone 1/2-ounce Red River Special spinnerbait in less than 4 feet of water at the lake March 14.

AUSTIN – The king mackerel recreational bag limit increases from two to three fish per person, per day on Friday, March 16. In January, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission adopted a temporary exception that increases the daily bag limit of king mackerel from two to three fish in state water. This exception is effective until Aug. 31, at which time a new statewide regulation currently under review may also increase the daily bag limit from two to three fish.

The City of Beaumont is hosting the area’s first major eSports spectator event on Saturday, April 28 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Jefferson Theatre.

The greatest fighting game contenders from around the area will compete in an eSports showdown to see who will triumph as the champion of Southeast Texas. Gamers will compete in three games — Street Fighter V, Injustice 2, and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U gaming system.
