Since having the interim tag removed from his title Lamar head basketball coach Tic Price has been busy getting his team ready for the 2014-15 season. That work has consisted of recruiting and putting together a coaching staff. Part of that work was completed Wednesday when Price announced the hiring of Anthony Anderson, Robert Kummer and Antonio Madlock as assistant coaches.

Lamar assistant coach Craig McGallion has been named defensive coordinator announced head coach Ray Woodard Friday morning. McGallion takes over for Bill Bradley who retired after spending the previous two seasons as the Cardinals defensive coordinator.
The Warren Warriors have a new athletic director and head football coach in 32-year-old Chris Babin. The School Board accepted the hire on Tuesday night during a school board meeting. Babin will replace John Woodard, who moved on to become the new athletic director and head coach at 2A Quitman. Woodard was 8-11 in two seasons in Warren.
Tic Price has been named Lamar head basketball coach, announced Director of Athletics Jason Henderson. Price becomes the university’s 11th head coach following a five- game stint as the interim coach to close out the 2013-14 season.
