Police in Orange are searching for a suspect in the Dec. 28 aggravated robbery of the Popeye's restaurant located in the 1600 block of Link Avenue.

According to a news release from the Orange Police Department, a black male wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun robbed the Popeye's and then fled the location with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 8:04 p.m., and arrived approximately two minutes later but were unable to locate a suspect.

Officers responded to a robbery in progress at La Salsita located at 612 Washington Ave. in Beaumont on Monday, March 31, at approximately 6:37 a.m. Police apprehended a suspect, who a news release indicates could have been involved in multiple recent incidents, and, in the process, had to shoot a dog that attacked officers in pursuit of the armed robber.
