A search for an Orange County man ended in tragedy when his body was discovered in south Newton County eight days after he was last seen, Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) Criminal Investigator Janois Strause Grizzaffi reported in a news release April 22.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) is searching for a man whose family reported him missing after finding his abandoned ATV alongside the road, reports Chief Deputy John Tarver.

Two people were injured and taken to area hospitals for evaluation after an ATV accident on Humble Camp Road In Jefferson County on Jan. 24, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reports.

According to a news release from Trooper Stephanie Davis, DPS received a report of a crash on Humble Camp Road involving two All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) at about 1 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11:46 p.m., police were dispatched to the 4900 block of Avie Lane in Beaumont after four males in a white Yukon were seen attempting to steal a trailer that had an ATV on it. The caller told dispatch that the suspects hooked the trailer up to the suspect vehicle and left.

All-terrain vehicles are designed for off-road use, but large numbers of people take their ATVs on public roads, where they are generally prohibited. And the consequences can be tragic.

Two separate incidents in Orange County, both involving All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), have left teenagers hospitalized.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, there was a motor vehicle crash involving an ATV that occurred on Dixie Road near FM 2802 in Orange County.

According to Trooper Stephanie Davis, a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling northbound on Dixie Road. The driver of the ATV failed to yield the right of way from a private driveway and pulled out in front of the truck, striking it in the front right quarter panel of the vehicle.
