All hail the king … Tuesday afternoon, March 29, the 68th Neches River Festival king and his escorts traveled down the Neches River and docked at the Beaumont Country Club.

The Beaumont Community Players invite you to laugh along with their latest production of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple beginning Friday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts at 4155 Laurel Ave. Show dates are April 1-2, 8-9, 15-16 with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 9.

The Odd Couple debuted in 1965, won a Tony Award, and spawned multiple revivals, including a popular network television show, movie and even a female version of the show.

Jerry McMillian’s second annual New Years Eve Broadway Soiree is a red carpet fundraising event featuring the talent of the Beaumont Community Players in Encore, a stunning musical revue, at the Betty Greenberg Center for the Performing Arts, 


Rogers & Hammerstein’s lavish musical, The King and I will open the Beaumont Community Players 2015-2016 season on Friday, Sept. 11.

This blockbuster winner of the 2015 Tony Award for best musical revival will be directed by Paula Bothe. Musical director is Garrett DeLa Cerda, and the conductor is Bobby Chapman.


What does it feel like to experience a mine cave-in? Trapped in total darkness, with a dwindling supply of oxygen, food and water and perhaps a diminishing stock of trust, patience, and sanity as well, five struggle to survive in a 1973 West Virginia coal mine in Butcher Holler Here We Come.

The production is available to Southeast Texas audiences thanks to a unique collaboration between Brooklyn-based theater group Aztec Economy, local independent theater group Ad Hoc Beaumont and Beaumont Community Players.
